Philip Martin has more than 25 years of experience in real estate investment underwriting, capital markets, advisory, and the REIT and financial services industries, with a focus on the multifamily and seniors housing sectors. Most recently, he was a senior vice president with Waterton, where he was responsible for market/asset research and investment strategy, a member of the investment/capital raising teams, and instrumental in introducing the company’s senior-living investment/operating platform.
Prior to Waterton, Philip was a managing director of real estate research and capital markets with Morningstar and Cantor Fitzgerald. He began his career in 1991 as a founding member of the First Union/Everen Securities real estate research and capital markets group. Since 1991, he has advised both real estate investors and corporations, and helped to raise $10 billion of equity and debt capital.
Philip joined Lloyd Jones in 2019 as its Chief Financial Officer/Chief Investment Officer and is a member of its executive and investment committees.
He is a member of the National Multifamily Housing Council and its research strategies committee, and also a member of the American Seniors Housing Association and its executive committee. He is a graduate of DePaul University in Chicago.
